The Edgewater Casino presents its 2nd annual West Coast Poker Championship (WCPC) with estimated prize pools valued at over $800,000. The series will take place between September 24 and October 2nd in Downtown Vancouver and consists of 6 Tournaments including Super Satellites to the Main Event.
The Main Event carries a buy-in of $1,650 and an estimated $600,000 prize pool should the tournament fill up with 400 players. Satellites are running throughout the months of August and September at the Edgewater Casino. Last year’s winner was Daniel Skolovy who took home a first prize of $75,036 with a total of 169 players registered to make a prize pool of about $250,000.
Expected to be in attendance at the West Coast Poker Championship is 2011 WSOP Bracelet Winner and 2010 November Niner Matt Jarvis at the West Coast Poker Championships. Matt is sponsored by the Edgewater Casino. Last year Matt took 2nd place in the $500 PLO/PLH Event at the WCPC behind Brian Andersen.
