The BC Poker Championships (BCPC) has announced its 2011 schedule for their annual tournament held at the beautiful River Rock Casino in Richmond B.C.  October 23 – November 9.

BC Poker Championship always bring in an elite field of poker players to the events and offer large prize pools. Daniel Negreanu is a past winner of the $2,500 buy-in main event and he is not the only top name Canadian pro that has made their presence at this championship. Past events have seen Matt Jarvis, Kara Scott, Greg Mueller, Brad Booth, Gavin Smith and Isabelle Mercier represent the Maple Leaf very well in prior years.

Overall, there are four events in this year’s BCPC starting on October 25th . That day is Day 1A of a $500 buy in No Limit Hold’em event that has an estimated prize pool of $237,600. There is also a Day 1B the following day before the remaining players unite for the final day on October 28th.

October 30th sees the $1,000 buy in, 2 day, No Limit Hold’em event kick off with $550,000 estimated for the prize pool and 550 players plus alternates allowed.

The main event kicks off on November 2, and is a 4 day, No Limit Hold’em event that is allowing 550 players plus alternates. It is a $2,700 entry fee (plus registration) and it is the one that most Canadians thrive to capture.

Finally, the  High Roller No Limit Hold’em kicks off on November 7th, and is a 3 day, No Limit Hold’em event that is allowing 176 players + alternates. It is a $4,600 entry fee (plus registration) that has an estimated $809,600 Prize Pool.

With quotes like “I would say this has been the best $2,500 buy-in even structure I’ve ever played” from Negreanu after his 2008 victory, the River Rock and the BCPC has gained a great reputation for providing a quality tournament format and top notch service, with the beautiful coast and Vancouver as a backdrop.
