PokerStars has released the schedule for 2010 version of their annual World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) and it will have 62 events held over 22 days in September. These poker events start on September 5th and run until the 26th, with most days consisting of three WCOOP events daily, however some days will only have two. There will be 16 events with a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million or greater with the highlight being the $5,000 buy-in NL Hold’em Main Event on beginning on September 26th and lasting two days.
Last year almost $52 million in prize money was awarded to poker players and the Main Event title and 1.7 million dollar prize went to Yevgeniy “Jovial Gent” Timoshenko. With last year’s WCOOP schedule only featuring 45 events over 18 days, the 2010 WCOOP will be the biggest yet.
With the 2010 WCOOP featuring high-roller events, shootouts, turbos, and two-day events in a wide range of games including Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, HORSE, Stud, and all forms of Hold’em poker, there is plenty of action for everyone.
